Endoscopic fertility surgery

Endoscopic surgery is a surgical specialty in which instruments designed to examine the uterus, ovaries and fallopian tubes are used to diagnose possible disorders or pathologies common in women, and that are causing infertility.

What does a Hysteroscopy with Mini resectoscopy consist of?

At Fertility Madrid, we have incorporated a mini Hysteroresectoscopy for Reproductive Surgery. This new tool is minimally invasive, ambulatory, safe and gentle on the patient.

Hysteroscopy with Mini resectoscopy systems clearly have the potential to transform current minimally invasive gynaecological procedures into a more gentle approach to anatomy and patient comfort.

Its small diameter means that surgery can be performed without requiring cervical dilatation, and therefore eliminates the risk of complications as a result of this.

Diagnostic hysteroscopy

This technique enables us to:

  • Assess the uterus.
  • Check for polyps.
  • Check for any septums.
  • Check for a septate uterus.

Surgical hysteroscopy

With this other modality, in addition to an assessment, polyps are removed or more complex surgeries are performed.

At Fertility Madrid, we perform surgical hysteroscopies on an outpatient basis for the simplest and least risky interventions.

More difficult interventions will be performed in a hospital setting.

Benefits of a Hysteroscopy

  • Less time in surgery.
  • Post-operative recovery is fast and practically painless.
